The weather is beginning to change from those hot and sweltering days with high humidity to cooler mornings, pleasant afternoons, and cooler evenings. Many people welcome the change and I am one of them. I like the new growth in the spring, and the heat of summer but the cooler weather to be able to enjoy being outside again is one of my favorites. Besides the weather, this is the beginning of one of my favorite holidays. No, I do not mean Halloween even though I like seeing the kids dressed in their costumes and remember when that was me. I don’t mean Christmas either, although since Michael and I are together, I find I am enjoying Christmas more and more as we share time together. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, the one that is largely overlooked by retailers because of profits. As I think about thanksgiving, I look at all I am thankful for and all that this season offers for contentment, family, and being together. What is your favorite upcoming holiday and why?
Especially For Ewe is traveling this weekend to Centreville, Virginia and the Annual Craft Bazaar at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church.
