The Bedford Fiber Festival Is Coming

The Bedford Fiber Festival Is Coming

As April 30 gets closer and closer, there are more and more things getting finishing touches added and some things coming from ideas I have gathered, or other people have given me.

That seems to be the way that my mind works.  I start out with an idea and then the idea gets added to by things I see around me, a comment that someone makes to me or something that I read.  Let’s take these little boy bunnies that are perfectly cute as they are right not but think of this, add a bandana print fabric tied around there neck as a neck cloth and the cuteness seems to explode.  Creativity is not a pattern that you read and follow but how you adapt that pattern for the end results that you want.

The Bedford Fiber Festival is April 30 this year at the Bedford Farmers market from 9 am to 4:30 pm.  This year I am adding another coupon option.  This coupon is good for 15% off after 1pm on the day of the festival.  Did you see something you might want to purchase.  This gives you a chance to come back for that item or something else and get an extra discount.  There will be a drawing for a special prize on the 30th.  Just add your name to the guest book with your email address.  One of those names will be drawn for the special prize.  Look for sunflower mug rugs coming with me to this show.  The proceeds of the sunflower mug rugs will be contributed to humanitarian relief in Ukraine.

Look for new products and some favorite products at shows in 2022.  Changing and growing is part of not only business life but also crafting.  We love our new ideas and what to share what we are learning.

The availability of craft shows is amazing, and more shows are presented as possible on a weekly basis.  So how do I decide which show I will participate in and which one to let go or let go for this year.  There are a few things that I think about.  The first is have I been to this show before and what kind of traffic do they have.  Cost is another consideration, do we need to spend an overnight for a show, and how much inventory do I think I might need at this show.  There is a lot to consider.  I have learned about a few shows this year that might be included in next years list.

The Apple Harvest Festival in Amherst is scheduled for October 15-16 at Amherst High Schol.  I missed not being able to participate in this show last year (changing addresses and moving had a lot to do with that) and I look forward to this festival this year.  This show features a lot of vendors both inside the building and outside.  The show uses the large gym, the small gym, and the cafeteria with vendors outside including the ever-popular food vendors.  I must admit that I look forward to the variety of vendors and what they have to offer.

Did you see the coupon for the studio on Facebook or Instagram.  The coupon is for 20% off your first visit to the studio at 3618 Goodview Avenue in Cave Springs, VA.    The studio is stocked with  dresses, boys, rompers and stuffed bears, rabbits, a dog, and a cat. These would be perfect for Easter baskets.   Studio hours are 10am – 3pm Tuesday through Saturday.  I am considering changing studio hours and adding evening hours for everyone’s convenience.  This will be announced by the end of the month.  Call me at 434-515-0651 and come see what Especially For Ewe has to offer on your time schedule.  .
