Let Me Begin With Thank You

Let Me Begin With Thank You

Thank you to all the customers and friends that attended the Bedford Fiber Festival.  We had a glorious morning and then rain in the afternoon but that did not seem to dampen the vendors spirits.  We had brave and hearty customers that came even with the rain.  Thank you to everyone who makes this event a hit every year.

Especially For Ewe brought new products including tiered dresses perfect for twirling, baby and toddler smocked dresses, baby bootie and hat sets and something new for this year, sunflower mug rugs.  The mug rugs were a hit, and I sold all that I had available.  If you have seen them in social media posts  and are interested , please let me know,  I am making more as we speak for the shows that are in the future, especially the sunflower festival.  Proceeds from the sunflower mug rugs is going to Week of Compassion Ministry at Westhampton Church that we attend.  The money will be used for humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

Now that the first show of the year is in the books, now is the time to choose a direction to go in.  What products do I want to add?  I have had some really interesting ideas lately including a dress with a large collar, a portrait collar.  These dresses will have a decorative design sewn on the collar to compliment the color of the dress.  I cant wait to see these take shape.  I am also considering a new little boys outfit with a box pleat in the shirt paired with white short pants.  I think these will be so cute!  Stay tuned and see what comes out of the Especially For Ewe studio next.

The future craft show schedule looks like this so far:

Beaver Dam Sunflower Festival in Buchanan Virginia with a tentative date of September 9-10. I received confirmation on May 1 that I have been accepted for the Sunflower Festival.  This is a new show for Especially For Ewe and I am so excited to be a part of the fun.   The date depends on when the sunflowers are in bloom.  After all, that is what we are there for.

The NoSo Fiber Festival is October 8 in Roanoke.  This group does a lot of charity work in the area providing hats and other garments for the homeless and needy.  I am excited to join this show for the first time as well.

The Amherst Apple Harvest Festival is an annual favorite in Amherst, Virginia on October 15 and 16.    The Amherst High School is decked out for these two days with vendors in the large gym, cafeteria, and small gym as well as vendors outside, including food vendors.

The St. Theresa’s Annual Christmas Bazaar in Farmville is scheduled for November 4 and 5.  This annual show is one that we had registered for in 2021 but I did not feel right leaving the cats alone for two nights in a new home the weekend after we moved.

The last show in November is the GFWC Bedford Woman’s Club, Bedford- November 19th 9am-4pm  at the new Liberty Middle School, Bedford, VA

The Salem Holiday Market at the Salem Civic Center on December 12 will close out shows for the 2022 season.
